My nephew had a marinated pear dessert that he said was the best dessert he’s ever had. Some had the escargot, but I skipped it.

Highly recommended for that special night out. Pricey for casual dining, unless you are loaded.

It was passable, so when the kids decided they wanted Chinese food for dinner, (and were ready to let go of Rose’s A Chinese Cafe in Union City, our old family favorite) we were on our way.

Hunan Chef Wong
4285 Valley Avenue
Pleasanton, CA 94566
925 484 0480

The service was outstanding. There was only one other table occupied at 5pm though . Our ultra-friendly waiter, who called himself Uncle, was prompt and attentive. We had our regular meal of:

Egg rolls

Vegetable Chow Mein

Sweet and Sour Chicken

Steamed Rice

Hot Tea

No pork won ton soup this time. Everything was pretty tasty. Styrofoam to-go boxes. Not quite to the level of Rose’s, but a solid Tier 2 chinese restaurant. Uncle even drew a picture on our to-go box (he also painted the flower mural on the wall).
