Juniors and Seniors gathered on Foothill Road in front of the Foothill High School campus on Tuesday to witness the enactment of the aftermath of a fatal accident caused by a teen drunken driver.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were involved in the exercise, dubbed “Every 15 Minutes” for the frequency at which a person is killed in an alcohol- or drug-related accident in the United States.

Possibly due to increased funding for the “Click It of Ticket” program, Pleasanton police appear to be increasing patrols prior to the Memorial Day Holiday. Pleasanton Police do a great job of keeping our streets safe, and hopefully this increased presence will make those intoxicated would-be drivers think twice.
