June 30th marked the final day of display in downtown Pleasanton for the bronze sculptures created by artist Seward Johnson. The life-size bronze statues depict people from different walks of life, and have been displayed in downtown Pleasanton since April 1st. The sculptures have been a novelty and a great photo opportunity for many visiting Pleasanton. My daughter, however, said the sculptures “creep her out” and is glad to see them go. I kind of liked them, but maybe 3 months was just about the right amount of time for their Pleasanton visit.
